As you gather with loved ones to sit down for a special holiday meal, your furry family member is definitely going to be salivating. And as much as they’d love to beg for or steal some of the delicious options from your table, they’ll be much better off having a nutritionally balanced — but also super delicious — holiday feast that’s been developed especially for their tummies. Here are some popular options you might want to consider scooping into your bestie’s bowl at festive mealtime…
If like many at this time of year you’re planning to sit down to a turkey dinner, there are a few fun meal options for your dog that also feature this festive bird. First up, there’s the Turducken Banquet, which includes not just turkey, but also duck and chicken. We’re talking fresh human-grade meat, infused with tasty seasonal ingredients like non-GMO potatoes, green beans, pumpkin, cranberries, rosemary and cinnamon. If you’re licking your lips after reading that, imagine how excited your dog will be to smell and taste this feast! If your pup prefers an OG (original) option though, you could also get them a delicious raw or gently cooked Turkey meal that also includes superfoods like cranberry and spinach. Bonus: these can either be served as a full and complete meal or as a topper to their kibble, making holiday dinner time extra special for them. If turkey isn’t your dog’s jam, there’s lots of other fun, special meal options they will probably love. Some popular choices are: beef risotto, pork feast and chicken stew (yum!). Or, if they’re a bit fussy you can dress up their favourite kibble with a savoury bison, lamb or salmon topper.
Of course in-between meals, or maybe as a “dessert” or stocking stuffer, your pet will be super excited — and feel more included in all the festivities of the season — if they get to test out some fun new treats. Some of the most popular new treat options for…
Cats: Lickables in all flavours. We’re talking tuna & salmon, chicken & shrimp, snapper and more
Dogs: Beef bully sticks, cheese puffs (that can be flavoured in turmeric or peanut butter if your pup is adventurous) and crunchy lung tenders
Bonus: if you really want to make your dog’s holiday season a winner, treat them to some classic favourites like boneless chicken wings or meatballs in a variety of flavours. Happy Holidays!
